letting creativity shine

Every year, Illuminations brings together the voices and visions of students, staff, and faculty in a collection of poetry, short stories, and artwork. My role has been to design both the cover and the full layout, making sure the design serves the content rather than competing with it.

Each cover ties directly to the selected artwork or photography of the year, with typography and design elements that enhance rather than overshadow the chosen piece. Inside, the layout balances readability with visual interest, giving equal space and respect to writing and art alike. The end result is a polished, professional publication that still feels creative, expressive, and true to its contributors.
